BREASTSCREEN SA MOBILE SERVICE
Will be in the Roxby Downs Health Services car park from Monday 23rd March until Wednesday 8th April.
For eligibility information and to make an appointment for a mammogram Phone 13 20 50

Breast screening is the process of looking for disease in the breasts of healthy women who have no symptoms of disease. A breast screen can detect most breast cancers, including some too small to be felt.
They are accessible, non-threatening and comfortable environments with expertly trained and experienced staff, who will do their best to ensure every woman receives an efficient and caring service.
A doctor's referral is not needed for this free service.
We provide free screening mammograms at two-yearly intervals, primarily for women aged 50 to 74, with the aim of reducing deaths from breast cancer, through early detection of the disease.
Research is less clear about the benefits of screening mammograms for women aged 40 to 49 and over 75. However, women in these age groups are also eligible for screening and are very welcome to phone for an appointment if they wish to attend.

A screening mammogram is simply a breast X-ray. It can detect most breast cancers, including some too small to be felt. If breast cancer is found at an early stage, there is a greater chance of successful treatment.
